I hear the training a leaving...
After cleaning out the garage and working their fingers to the bone Nancy B. and sister Holli decided all work and no play makes Jill a dull girl. Therefore they left on the early morning train with Go Travels for a trip to Selma, NC, yes I said Selma, NC.
Check out the itinerary:
* 6:40 AM Arrive at Amtrak Station, 1914 N. Tryon Street in Charlotte. Our train, The Carolinian, "sleeps" in Charlotte, cleaned, and ready to board! Choice seating.
* 7:40 AM The Carolinian leaves Charlotte for Selma through Raleigh.
* 7:45 AM Ride through North Carolina countryside stopping at Kannapolis, Salisbury, High Point, Greensboro, Burlington, Durham, Cary and Raleigh.
* 11:41 AM Arrive at Selma Historic Train Station. Lunch in Selma ( Included ).
* 1:30 PM Visit this historical railroad town and experience many things as they were in the past. Places like Sweetwater's Grill and Cheescake, Short's Hot Dogs, Edleweiss, a new German Restaurant, Creech Drug, an old fashioned drug store with soda fountain and dipped ice cream. Some other places of interest are Reid's Country Sampler Antiques and TWM's Antique Mall.
* 4:03 PM Board Southbound Amtrak "Carolinian" for Charlotte
* 8:15 PM Arrive at Amtrak Station in Charlotte.
Well I wasn't invited but I guess someone has to stay behind and watch college football on TV.
