Health, Wealth and Prosperity

The gospel for many in America has a teaching and emphasis on health, wealth and prosperity. There is such false teaching today on these things that many are being mislead. I was approached by someone within the last year who subscribes to the theology that all suffering in life is directly attributable to sin in the person's life. Therefore if you deal with the root sin then you will be healthy. How then would this person deal theologically with Paul's thorn in the flesh? Was there some sin that he had not confessed? Brothers and sisters in Christ the answer is that we get back to understanding the word of God. This means we must use good principles of Bible study in which we seek to understand what the author meant by what he wrote. This is so different than many today who are interpreting the Bible based on their own thoughts and feelings.
