A new theology is coming to Charlotte

In the past few years we have seen tremendous popularity with the emergent church. One of their leading proponents is a gentleman whose name is Rob Bell. If you were to look across the evangelical landscape the two "hottest" groups are the emergent church that is represented by Rob Bell, Bryan McLaren and others. While the other group is called the new reformers and have people like Mark Driscoll, Mark Dever, C.J. Mahaney, and Tim Keller that are key leadership people in this group.

I have posted a recent review of Rob Bell's "the gods are not angry" in the sidebar under "more on Rob's tour." You may be totally unfamiliar with this theology but trust me it will be significant in Charlotte within a few years. It in my opinion is very dangerous for a number of reasons (open theism) that I will included in future blogs. Some of you may have heard or read one of Rob's latest books called "Velvet Elvis."

Also I have included a link to Mark Driscoll with the article called Biblical context in the sidebar of this blog. If you do click on Biblical context then select the YouTube option and the person speaking is Mark Driscoll.
